To support the provision of family friendly work-life balance, Rice Warner provides the following leave options for its employees
Paid Parental Leave: Depending on your length of service, you (as the primary carer) will be entitled to up to 18 weeks paid parental leave. If you are the secondary carer, you will be entitled to 5 days paid leave regardless of your length of service. We also pay superannuation contributions on paid and unpaid parental leave for up 12 months and continue to accrue long service leave for that period.
Flexible work arrangements: Rice Warner recognises that at different life stages employees may seek to balance their work and outside commitments (e.g. study, family, community involvement) by using flexible work practices. We also recognise that over their working life those interests may vary, and the type of flexibility desired may also vary. We are committed to accommodating an employee’s reasonable need for flexibility.
Additional annual leave: We offer the option to purchase up to two weeks additional annual leave each year to provide more time for family or other personal pursuits.
Study leave: We provide up to 20 days paid study leave per annum for approved courses.
Health & Well-being
Healthy lifestyle: Rice Warner provides fresh fruit in the office to encourage healthy eating. We have showers and lockers for employees who want to exercise at lunch or before or after work.
Social Club: We have an active social club that organises a number of events and activities to encourage employees to bond with their colleagues. Activities include end of month Boardroom drinks, teams in events such as the city-to-surf and Kayak for Kids, end of financial year celebration, Christmas party and the annual Rice Warner bake off (an in-house cooking competition!). Our teams have also competed in lunch time sporting events such as netball and soccer.
Salary Packaging: From your pre-tax salary, you can package some business items. Examples include a novated car lease, laptops and professional memberships. You can also make additional contributions to your superannuation ‘salary sacrifice’.
Study Support: Study support, in the form of financial assistance, is granted to employees who undertake an approved course.
Professional Memberships: We will cover the annual membership fee for one professional body each year for memberships that are related to the work you perform at Rice Warner.
